Jalapeño Popcorn, by Calivirgin

Add a little kick to your next movie night with this spicy twist on popcorn. While you're at it, try this recipe with any flavored olive oil from Calivirgin.

Serves 2-4



Heat a medium sized saucepan over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon Calivirgin Hot Virgin Jalapeño Olive Oil and a few kernels of popcorn. Shake to coat the kernels with oil.

Once the test kernels start to pop, add the remaining popcorn. Cover the pan and move it briskly from side to side to keep the kernels moving. Once the kernels begin to pop rapidly, lower the heat to medium and continue to move the pan until all popping stops. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the popcorn into a large serving bowl.

Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the popcorn and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper to taste. Optional: Top with grated sharp cheddar cheese.
