Pasta for Kids: ZeroTre Organic Pastina
Every parent has been there: You beg your kids to eat their vegetables, but all they want is pasta. Have no fear, ZeroTre Pastina is here! With Rustichella d’Abruzzo’s organic, fun-to-eat line of pasta for kids, nutritious meals are as easy as 1-2-3.
These nutrient-rich pastas are crafted from organic durum wheat semolina—and two of the cuts are enriched with a whopping 35% veggies (shh, don’t tell the kiddos!). Are your bambini gluten free? Serve them a bowlful of Mezzelune ("half moons") made with rice and corn flour.
Our favorite one-year old (pictured) adores the Alfabeto ("alphabet") pastina served in a light chicken or vegetable broth. Kids will also love these teeny-tiny pasta shapes with melted butter and plenty of grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Why the name "ZeroTre"?
The unique schools that inspired a pasta line
Maria Stefania Peduzzi, of the Rustichella d’Abruzzo pasta-making family, owns two progressive pre-K–6 schools in her hometown. At these schools, children work in the vegetable garden, eat wholesome foods and learn all about the traditional cuisine of Abruzzo.
Stefania's work with the kids inspired the ZeroTre Pasta line—named after the the age group "zero to three"—a collection of the pasta cuts most loved by the school children themselves.
