Serves: Makes 1 quart
During the blazing summer months, Sicilians cool down with almond milk. The drink is ubiquitous across the island, but often the commercial versions sold in supermarkets are overly sweet. Our adaptation is made with high quality organic marzipan and a drizzle of syrup from Amarena cherries, but you could just as easily serve it plain over ice or with any fruit syrup of your choice.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces Organic Sicilian Marzipan
- 1 quart cold water
- 2-3 tablespoons syrup from Amarena cherries or other fruit syrup (optional)
Instructions
In a blender, place the marzipan and the water and turn the blender on to low at first, increasing the speed slowly. Once the marzipan is completely dissolved, pour the mixture into a glass over ice with a drizzle of syrup. Stir gently to combine.
